Beating the holiday binges and restrictive diets

Christmas is the time of year that brings joy, laughter and lots of festive food! It’s also the time of year that can also stir up feelings of guilt and body image anxieties. Fears of overindulging because you don’t want to gain weight or sabotage your hard work in the gym. Or if you let yourself go now, you can just go on a juice cleanse or do a body detox and a rapid weight loss plan in the New Year...

Is that really the answer again?

What exactly did you achieve from this last year and the year before?

See, the thing is we all want to overindulge at Christmas. We all want to party, have feasts and celebrate with loved ones.

And, that’s totally OK!

You really don’t need to beat yourself up and you shouldn’t. You don’t need to detox or cleanse your body.

Good working kidneys do that for you!

All you need to do this winter is be kinder to your body; including your mental health and your physical health.

Its about balance.

Have fun. Eat your favourite Christmas treats. But, try to move a little more, and eat more green stuff too! If you miss your workouts remember you will be able to get back to them soon. Your body will thank you for allowing yourself time to recover!

A healthier, happier lifestyle is much about building positive relationships, spending time with family and friends and celebrating your achievements, and finding ways to de-stress as much as it is about eating healthy and going to the gym.

Remember that!

If you require help and support with emotional eating, binge eating then send me a message right now! ❤️

Enjoy Christmas!
