Ditch the Scales if you are obsessed with the number.

Updated: Mar 8, 2023

If you are serious about losing weight….

👉 STOP CHASING A NUMBER.

If every single time you step on the scale it leaves you thinking about your self-worth then PLEASE just ditch the scales.

Invest in someone who has been in your shoes and knows exactly what it takes to get the freedom you crave. 🙏

YOU CAN’T HATE YOURSELF TO A BETTER BODY.

Read that again….. 😈😈😈

👉 You gotta learn to love all of what you perceive as flaws unconditionally.

At the end of the day you will always be unhappy, always chasing unrealistic standards and comparing yourself to instagram models if you don’t LEARN TO LOVE YOURSELF right now.

The truth is in all of these pictures (before and afters) I have battled with depression and anxiety throughout, and I still do. 😬😅👻

If you think being a dress size smaller will fix all of your problems you’re wrong.

WE ALL CHASE PERFECTION.

You want a P.T who will tell you that life gets better when you reach a certain bodyweight?

Check out instagram. Plenty of FitPros sing and dance about how great it feels to look sexy.

They won’t show you the cold harsh reality of what it has truly taken to get to that point. They don’t show you the struggles they face day in and day out, or how obsessive they are about every single piece of food they put in their mouth, or how lonely your journey will be when your family and friends around you are not hundred percent 💯 on board with you and don’t get why you want to change your body image so badly.

❌ A couple of exercises three days a week for X amount of weeks will change your physique forever.

❌ Few leg lifts and you’ll have a more ‘toned’ bum in 12 weeks.

… If this is your thought process… 😬😬😬

I’m gonna be totally honest with you it takes longer than 12 weeks to transform your physique (UNLESS you already have a low body fat percentage or really good genetics)

I used to chase the numbers on the scale, funnily enough it did nothing to improve my mental health… Yeah, I might have gained a bit of confidence from time to time but REAL CONFIDENCE comes when you work on your mindset daily.

Your confidence develops when you learn to love your body through all stages of your journey and is so important when you are first starting your weightloss journey. It’s realising that there really is not a finish line when it comes down to your health. 🏁

😈😈😈 It’s realising there is more to this journey than just weight loss.

For me, staying active is how I manage my depression and mental health. 🙌👻👻

I would be lost if I couldn’t physically move my body because I can. 😬😅

Learn to look at the bigger picture.

Look at what you gain from trying to be a bit more healthier, and acknowledge how you feel. ❤️😍

✅ Feeling stronger

✅ Less tired, having more energy. 💪

✅ Less aches and pain, not having to rely on medication

✅ Improving or reducing your symptoms from any injuries or illnesses you might have

✅ Being able to cope better with your anxiety, depression and mental health. Bad days can feel less darker when you get your body moving.

Everyday focus on developing areas in your life that make you feel good!
