So, what is Tabata?
Tabata is a type of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). Unlike HIIT which is usually lasts thirty minutes, Tabata training dramatically shortens the amount of time required to train to as little as FOUR MINUTES. Yes, you read that right.
FOUR MINUTES. Now, you can throw the 'no time' excuse away.
It consists of 8 ROUNDS of 20 Second Go-All-Out, MAXIMUM Intensity exercises followed by a 10 Second Rest in between each exercise. You can do tabata training with bodyweight, weight training, sprints, cycling and more but they main point is to make sure you give maximum effort in every round.
This type of training isn't for the faint of hearted. If you are ready to see some serious improvements to your anaerobic fitness and cardiovascular health then Tabata can help you do just that. It's also been shown to dramatically improve your metabolism throughout the day.
As always, you can't get great results without ensuring all the puzzles fit. You still need to eat a healthy balanced diet, get plenty of sleep and find ways reduce your stress levels.
